Marquette G Tyler Kolek turning pro

Marquette guard Tyler Kolek announced Wednesday that he’s forgoing his final year of eligibility and turning pro.The 6-foot-3 Kolek is projected as a late first-round pick in June’s NBA draft.Kolek made the announcement in a social media post.”I have decided to forgo my extra year of eligibility and declare for the 2024 NBA Draft,” Kolek wrote. “While I may be moving on to the next chapter of my basketball career, I will always cherish the memories and lessons from my time in Milwaukee and take tremendous pride in representing this special basketball program at the highest level moving forward.”Kolek led Marquette (27-10) to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed. The Golden Eagles lost in a Sweet 16 game to upstart NC State.
