Georgia G Sahvir Wheeler enters portal, declares for draft

Georgia sophomore guard and leading scorer Sahvir Wheeler is preparing to leave Athens one way or the other, announcing Tuesday that he’s entering the transfer portal and declaring for the NBA draft.Wheeler won’t hire an agent in order to maintain his eligibility. He was named second-team All-SEC after leading the league in assists (7.4 per game) and ranking fifth nationally.”I decided to declare for the NBA draft because of the success I had individually this year,” Wheeler told ESPN. “I entered the transfer portal at the same time to evaluate all my options as I try to determine my path of realizing my dreams of winning at the highest level and playing in the NBA. For most people, there is a direct correlation between the two.”
