The St. Louis Blues acquired veteran defenseman Brandon Carlo from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for two third-round picks in Saturday’s draft.
The Maple Leafs received the 73rd and 76th selections.
Toronto selected forward Zach Olsen from the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades at No. 73 and defenseman Mans Gudmundsson of Sweden at No. 76.
Carlo, 29, recorded seven assists in 55 games in his first full season with Toronto in 2025-26. He missed 23 games with an ankle injury that required surgery.
Carlo has tallied 119 points (29 goals, 90 assists), a plus-137 rating and 381 penalty minutes in 692 career games with the Boston Bruins (2016-25) and Maple Leafs (2025-26). Boston drafted him in the second round in 2015.
Olsen, 18, posted 34 points (18 goals, 16 assists) in 57 games with the Blades in 2025-26. Gudmundsson, 18, had two goals and 29 assists in 40 games with Farjestad Jr. in Sweden.
